Construction of Church Building in Al-Bitar, Mashta al-Helu, Homs. Syria

Al-Bitar is located about 7 km from Mashta al-Helu town and resort, 60 km from Homs.

Rev. Daas Haddad - Pastor of Baptist Evangelical Church, Homs,Syria:

“This is the plan of Church’s land and the stages we pray for the Lord to complete. In the first stage we will build a hall for events, on which we will build the church hall, and this we will use now in meetings. The cost including the foundation and construction of the first floor will be approximately 100,000 US dollars, We have $ 30,000. This is now our urgent need, only to be able to hold meetings, because the house we pray in no longer accommodates people, and later, we will announce by the grace of the Lord what we need for the second stage, which is building a large hall for church meetings, then the third stage - if the Lord wills and allows us - We will complete building a conference center.”

Najeib Tome

Pastor of Kafr Buhum Church

story of Kafr Buhum church

Kafr Buhum, a Syrian town located near the governorate of Hama, with a population of about 20,000 people. Its population works in agriculture and consists of several Christian denominations, most of them Orthodox and Catholic plus atheists and communists as well.  The city includes many people displaced from the civil war. In 2000, a young man, from the village accepted Lord Jesus as a personal savior, his name is Najeib Tome.  He felt responsible for the villagers, he started to reach out people breaching the Gospel, as a result, ten people accepted The Lord. they started to meet in a home, but the number of Jesus flowers increased . they started to look for a place,  it was not easy task for someone to let him rent a place of worship. The Lord blessed the work so much that it became 7 church meetings for different ages. The current  place became very small . The Lord arranged a place four times bigger than  the present place  and in a distinguished place.  The cost of the project is estimated at $ 40,000.

The church is also distributing aid ((monthly food basket)) to those in need who were left out of the war in Syria 2011, but unfortunately this service stopped due to the current conditions in Lebanon and the lack of funds to support services
