First Training Conference for Sunday School Teachers 

9/25 - 28, 2019 - Mashta Al-Helou , Syria 

Whereas one of our  goals in FWG is to equip leaders to be competent to perform  spiritual ministry in Syria and to have self-sufficiency, and on this basis,  the first conference was held to train teachers of Sunday schools. The conference was attended by 75 persons of both genders represented various regions  (Homs - Latakia - Hama - Kafrbo - As-Suwayda - Aleppo - Mashta Al-Helou - Al-Battar). A group of specialists from the United States of America and Egypt performed the training.

Tartus, Homs, Aleppo, Kharhabou (Hama), and Damascus

A multi-regional team of Arabs from the United States, Egypt, and Syria endeavored on a 5-day missionary tour throughout the country of Syria. It was an opportunity to share the Gospel with everyone, from restaurant owners and employees, drivers, hotel staff, to weekly churchgoers. WFG partners encountered several Christian leaders across different denominations who were interested in future partnerships and outreach events to continue the call God has given them as well.

 

Egypt (October 2018)

Second Evangelical Church, Assiut

FWG received an invitation from post-graduates to lecture and lead discussions at annual conference hosted by the Second Evangelical Church in Assiut, a large hub for evangelical Christians located in upper Egypt. The retreat was held in a village called “ Dier of Virgin Mary” where historically believe that the Holly family hid their when they escaped to Egypt

 

Lebanon (October 2018)

Beirut

FWG team members spent a 2-day excursion in the capital, meeting with a group of young missionaries from Egypt, Jordan, and Lebanese locals who were ministering to Syrian refugees fleeing the humanitarian crisis across the border. The team also met visited with recent converts in their homes to offer spiritual encouragement and financial support.
